How to change your Server Version

There are cases when you would need to change your server version either from vanilla to PaperMC or update your server version from old to a new one. This article will guide you and will tell you how you can change your server version.


For changing your server version from PaperMC or Spigot to Bungeecord or to Bedrock, you need to also open a support ticket after uploading your jar and configuring it, So we can change your server's egg.



1. Download your new required server jar either from their respective sites like the official sites of PaperMC and PurpurMC or download it from the site of ServerJars.

2. Rename your newly downloaded server jar to server.jar for better file organizing.

3. Log in to the Game Panel and open your server.

4. Goto the Startup Tab.

6. There under the Server Jar File, Ensure the server jar file name is server.jar or your server jar file's name, If it is something different than your new jar file's name then you can click and edit to change it to your new jar file's name.


7. Now open your Server's File by opening the Files Tab. There you need to upload your new server.jar file, Ensure to delete the old server.jar file if there was one.

8. Now you can open the Console Tab and Restart your server, for the Server Version change to take place.


If you are downgrading your server version(For Ex: Downgrading from 1.18 to 1.17 or from 1.18 to any lower version) then you also need to delete all worlds folders from your files. (Reset World)
If you are upgrading your server version from 1.17 to 1.18.X or from any lower version to 1.18 then you also need to change the java version to 17. You can do this by going Startup Tab of your server.
