How to manage your files with SFTP

This guide will show you how to setup SFTP to upload and manage files to your Charged Nodes Server.

In order to use SFTP you need an FTP Client. We recommend using WinSCP on Windows.

Step 1: Download your FTP client.

Step 2: Open your FTP client and use the details from the Game Panel under   Settings > SFTP DETAILS to log in.

Step 3: On this page you will find your details to log in with SFTP to your server. When using your FTP Client make sure that the Protocol is set to SFTP otherwise you will not be able to connect. The connection address is the host on your FTP Client, the username is your username and the password will be the same password you use to login to the Game Panel. Click Connect.

You could directly use the Launch SFTP Button in the SFTP Details tab if you have an Active SFTP Client installed nicely in your computer.

Step 4: When using WinSCP you will see your server files on the right column of the program. On the left will be the files from your local computer. To upload files to your server, simply navigate to the location of the files you want to upload on the left column and either double click or drag your files to the right column.

Step 5: Your files will now begin to upload. You will receive a notification on your computer when all your files are uploaded!

You do not need to specify a port. When copying the connection address it will automatically fill in a port. If your SFTP program does not use this, use port 2022.
